Multilingual entry — write your report in your own language

With multilingual entry, setting your report language shows the field names in your language and attaches an AI Japanese translation when you submit. This article covers choosing the language, submitting, and switching between original and translation.

Steps

Pick your language in “Settings” under “Report language”. The nine choices are Japanese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino (Tagalog), Burmese, Simplified Chinese, Nepali, Spanish and English, each shown with its native spelling, as in ‘Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese)’.

1. Open “Settings”, choose your language under “Language you write in”, and press “Save”.
2. Open “Today's report”. The field names now appear in your language; write as usual.
3. Press “Submit”. AI then creates the Japanese translation and stores it alongside your original text.
4. On “Feed”, readers see the Japanese translation; “Show original” switches to your text and “Show translation” back. You are done once the translation appears and switches to the original.

Important: The Japanese translation is assistive and made by AI. Always review it; where translation and original differ, the original is the record.

Tip: Voice entry works in your language too: the transcript and follow-up questions follow your report language.

If it does not work

• No Japanese translation appears — rebuild it with “Generate translation” on “Feed”. See A report in another language has no translation.
• “Report language” is not in “Settings” — the multilingual add-on is off. See Enable the multilingual and AI reply suggestion add-ons.

FAQ

• Does the whole screen change language? — No. Report language covers writing only; the screen language is set under “Language”.
• Is my original text kept? — Yes. Readers can open it any time with “Show original”.
• What if I want to write in Japanese one day? — Set “Language you write in” back to Japanese; the next report is fully Japanese.
• What if I edit a submitted report? — The translation is rebuilt. If none appears, press “Generate translation”.
