Catalyst Inc. (株式会社カタリスト)(the “Company”) handles personal information in the daily-report service “Zen Daily Report” (in Japanese, 直感日報; the “Service”) as follows.

1. Information We Collect

  1. Account information: name, email address, and credentials (collected through the authentication platform Amazon Cognito);
  2. Posted data: report contents, figures, images, comments, and other information entered by Users;
  3. Usage data: access logs, interaction events, and the like (report contents are never sent to analytics tools);
  4. Payment information: information necessary for billing (credit card numbers are handled directly by the payment processor Stripe and never pass through the Company).

2. Purposes of Use

  1. To provide the Service and to verify identity and authenticate Users;
  2. To send notification emails such as reminders and digests;
  3. To bill service fees;
  4. To respond to inquiries and communicate important notices;
  5. To prevent unauthorized use and to improve service quality and develop new features.

3. Provision to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal information to third parties without the individual’s consent, except as required by law.

4. Entrustment of Handling

The Company entrusts the handling of personal information to the following providers to the extent necessary to deliver the Service.

When providing personal information to entrusted providers located outside Japan, the Company confirms the legal framework of the provider’s country and the safeguards the provider has in place, and takes contractual and other measures necessary for secure management in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan.

5. Security Measures

To prevent unauthorized access to, leakage of, or loss of personal information, the Company takes reasonable security measures, including encrypted communication (TLS), organization-level separation of access rights, and protection through the authentication platform.

6. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, or Suspension of Use

The Company responds without delay, in accordance with applicable law and after identity verification, to requests from individuals for disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information. Please contact the address below.

7. Cookies

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies to keep Users signed in and to analyze usage. Cookies can be disabled in browser settings, but parts of the Service may become unavailable as a result. This policy may be revised in response to changes in law or in the Service. Material changes will be announced on the Service.
