The free trial has ended and you cannot write reports
When the free trial ends, a banner appears at the top of the screen first, and without a subscription writing and viewing pause. This article covers what to check and how to subscribe. Report data stays while access is paused.
Check first
- Whether only a banner shows at the top. While it is just a banner, writing and viewing carry on.
- Whether the whole screen is replaced by a notice. Admins and managers get “Go to billing”, members “Go to settings”.
- Whether “Subscription” in “Plan & billing” reads “Free trial” or “Active”. Nothing pauses once you have subscribed.
- Whether only part of writing, viewing and attaching stopped. A full-screen notice stops all three; a banner alone stops nothing.
- “Plan & billing”, “Settings” and “Members” stay open while access is paused. Work from those three.
How to fix
Step 1: Subscribe and resume
- Select “Go to billing” in the notice to open “Plan & billing”.
- Select “Start the free trial” and enter your card details on the Stripe checkout page.
- Back on the screen, “Subscription” reading “Active” means you are done. Earlier reports read and write as before.
Full steps: Start the free trial and set up payment.
Step 2: Export the numbers first
Important: Nothing is deleted while access is paused, and subscribing brings every report straight back. Exporting is optional — a copy for your own records.
Only admins and managers can export; a member's notice has no CSV link.
- Select “Download your data as CSV” in the notice.
- A CSV with date, member, field, value and unit columns means you are done.
Step 3: When a member is locked out
Only admins and managers can subscribe, and a member's screen says to ask one. “Go to settings” still allows things such as switching language, so ask your company's admin to subscribe.
Still not working?
- “Could not open the checkout page. Please try again later.” — Cause: the checkout page did not open. Fix: wait, then select “Start the free trial” again.
- “Network error. Please check your connection.” — Cause: no connection. Fix: reopen it where you have a signal.
- If the notice stays after subscribing, paste the symptom into “How-to question” under “Support”, or use “Report a bug”.
